PLAN YOUR VISIT
A seat at the heart of the celebration for visitors who cannot stand for long periods. Find information about the provision and ticket arrangements for 2027 here.

The 17 May Committee’s grandstands for older visitors are intended for residents and guests who need to sit to enjoy the city-centre celebration. They have been part of Constitution Day since 2014 and are funded by the Committee. The grandstands have been covered, with a roof and walls at the rear.
Ticket distribution for 2027 has not yet been confirmed. We will update this page with the collection point, date, opening hours, number of tickets and arrival deadline when arrangements are ready. In 2026, tickets were distributed at the centre office at Bergen Storsenter, with a maximum of two per person and no reservations. This describes a previous year’s arrangements, rather than announcing ticket distribution for 2027.
These grandstands are described as a provision for people who cannot stand for long periods. In 2026, there was no space to store wheelchairs beside the grandstands. Access, companion arrangements and options for wheelchair users must be clarified for 2027. Please also read the accessibility page before planning your visit.
The grandstands are at Torgallmenningen. The exact position and entrance for 2027 will be published when confirmed. Plan your journey around road closures and altered public transport. Allow plenty of time and follow this year’s arrival and ticket-use information.
